Would love to hear more about the history of this sculpture and see more photos of it.

It's in Chirk Castle's gardens, which is in Wrexham - near Llangollen, Wales where I visited last year. I'm sorry that I can't find any information on the particular statues I snapped whilst there but I'm sure you can dig something up on it with google. I will be posting a few more pictures of the bondage sculpture soon :) I'm glad you like it.

Interesting. It immediately reminded me of this other bound sculpture

It's John Bell's Andromeda cast in iron displayed at the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron

I've found some other photos of this bronze sculpture in Chirk Castle's gardens but no title or information about the artist.

Yeah it's quite similar. Very pretty.

It's a bummer that there isn't much information there, but I'm sure if we contact the people at Chirk they could tell us more I remember them being very knowledgable about the items in the castle so I'm sure they will know a lot about the grounds also.

There was another sculpture in the garden which was blindfolded, I took a few snaps of it as well - I'll have them up later :)

From what I've seen elsewhere the blindfolded girl is
only a few meters from the bound one. [link]
In fact, changing my search to "chirk blindfolded" got me
here [link]
where it says these two sculptures are signed "A. C. Lucchesi"
who is Andrea Carlo Lucchesi (1860-1925)
I actually ran into his name yesterday associated
with the more modestly dressed "bronze nymph" at Chirk but had found no
connection to these other two nudes. Mystery solved.
